why should you do a first look? this is one of my favorite topics to educate clients on! while the traditional ritual of ‘waiting until the ceremony’ may feel like a dealbreaker to you, I strongly advise all of my couples to consider the benefits of both sides before making a decision! here’s 3 reasons why I recommend a first look —

🤍 it allows you to have an intimate moment, just the two of you! [bonus: this is the perfect time to read your vows privately, if you want! it’s a beautiful, special moment with just the two of you and your photographer!]

🤍 you can get your jitters out of the way! so many couples have nerves about walking down the aisle, having your big reveal to each other first can take some of the pressure off the big reveal to all your loved ones!

🤍 it often allows for more flexibility in timing! as a planner, you can bet this is one of my favorite pros, and for good reason — if you can knock out a chunk of your photos ahead of the ceremony, there’s a much better chance you’ll be able to actually enjoy cocktail hour! and who doesn’t want more of that? 🥂

2021 was a crazy year. there were plenty of changes, lots of challenges, and many a sleepless night, but above all else — growth. Choosing to open a business at the peak of craziness has taught and humbled me more than I could have anticipated. To everyone who has supported me along the way, I am endlessly grateful 🤍

After some time to strategize + regroup, I’m ready to tackle this new year and all of it’s challenges — here’s to an incredible 2022!
