City Farm started 42 years ago with it’s founder Carlo Calisi and his family. We all worked very hard together to serve our many customers in the Greater Boston Community. On his passing I took over the reins. I continued Carlo’s legacy by serving our loyal customers, supplying the local churches with Palms, Easter lilies, and Poinsettia. I have advised so many in the community on gardening and cultivating my beloved fig trees.
So it is with great sadness that we are announcing the closing of City Farm. Our doors will be closed on November 30th, 2019. We will miss our customers, many have become like family. You know who you are! We have watched many of you grow from small children coming in with your parents to being expert gardeners.
When the news of our closing was made public, many of our longtime customers came to thank us for the many years of service to the community. We are humbled by how much our garden center has meant to this community. We realized how many lives we have touched and how our customers have truly touched our lives through the years.
Thank you for your patronage and we at City Farm wish you all the best. We will miss being your neighborhood flower shop and garden center.

There is still a great selection at City Farm!! Gardening is such great therapy. We have everything from whimsical to practical, American made to imports from Italy and Vietnam. Just come by to browse, talk to the Figman Joe, and find something you just have to have!
