Ending a business wasn’t easy. I’ve felt so lost, confused, and depressed - like I betrayed myself for giving up on a dream. It took a lot of soul searching and strength to get to where I’m at now mentally and emotionally. This past year, I had to learn to give that same healing, beautiful love that I would put into all my floral creations into to myself. I’ve found freedom in freelancing. I get to work for/alongside with and learn from some of the best floral designers Boston has to offer. Maybe it’s not what I’ll do forever but I’m enjoying this chapter right now. I have no idea what is going to blossom out of all of this, but I do know that it will be beautiful and magical. I’m holding onto my motto, “Bloom: a beautiful process of becoming.” Just like a flower, Baby Boyle too, must grow through the dirt in order to be a flower.

To old clients, customers, coworkers, neighbors, friends, and family - thank you for continuing to root for me from the sidelines while I figure out this thing called life. I am forever grateful for all the love and support.

Bloom: A beautiful process of becoming.

The seed was planted while in sober living. I needed a “get well” job and got hired in the Floral Department in a local grocery store. Prior to this, I had no experience or knowledge of flowers. Flowers helped me connect to God and I found a way of meditation working with flowers. I worked my way up the ladder, learning so much about floral techniques and arranging, and became a manager.

Unbeknownst to me that a pandemic would happen, I had quit my Floral Manager position hoping to start my own flower company. I made arrangements inside my sober house and people continued to order. The business bloomed as I moved back to Charlestown. It grew as we did custom holiday orders, special events, funerals, and weddings.

The foundation of my business has always been community. I’m so grateful that I had this opportunity to grow as a florist and build a community surrounded by flowers. I’m grateful that I had an opportunity to give back every chance I got and partner with local non profits and the recovery community. I’m grateful that I had such loyal customers that helped make this grassroots business grow from the ground up. I’m grateful that I was able to hire local Charlestown neighbors and local teens and teach them about the floral industry. I’m grateful for every trial and every triumph as well as every lesson and blessing. I’m grateful that I had a chance to make Charlestown bloom.

Although I am sad to end this business, my heart is full of gratitude for each moment during this journey. Who knows where will take me, but I’m excited for this next chapter.

💐 Special thanks to my family & friends, who have stood by me since day one.
💐 Thank you .events_ & All Roads for giving me chances to bloom.
💐 BIG Thank you to the BEST TEAM a kid could ask for, everyone who helped me along the way during this business and helped me bloom.
💐 Thank you to my customers & Charlestown: you have been supportive and loyal since day one helping this grow from the ground up and I am forever grateful for all of you.

Thank you,
End chapter.

We’re getting close to the end of one of my favorite seasons!!

The Story of Peony:
🌺 symbol of compassion, bashfulness, happy marriages, & wealth.
🌺 it’s roots were used for healing - the legend goes that Paeon, used it to heal Pluto. Aesculapius, Greek god of medicine, got jealous and tried to destroy Paeon, and so Apollo turned Paeon into a Peony.
🌺 Peony root in medieval times was also used to heal snake bites and stop seizures, with people wearing necklaces made of the root to prevent seizures.
🌺 The other Greek legend is that Paeonia, a beautiful nymph, attracts the flirtations of Apollo. Because of this, Aphrodite grows jealous and turns her into a Peony.
🌺 Native to China, Peonies were planted at the Imperial Palace - giving its association with wealth and nobility.
🌺 Magical superstition says that if your Peony Bush is full of blooms, it will bring good luck. On the other hand, uneven amount of blooms or dried up blooms is a sign of misfortune to come.
