It's been a while, Ruby is a year old!... Ruby broke into the horse pasture and decided she was old enough to graze with Puddin and Molly.

Our plan was to keep her in a separate pasture until she was big enough to survive a kick from her sisters. She's doing just fine now. We're starting to plan for her future, possibly AI or maybe a bull calf.

Miss Ruby had her final bottle this morning. She's eating her starter well and is spoiled more than ever.

Ruby still loves to cuddle, and will lay down beside you for some head scratches and kisses. She may need a friend of her own kind soon...

WE ARE GROWING!!
The boys are in for a big SURPRISE when they get home from school today! Gary and I dropped them off at school and are headed to pick up this sweet girl! It took everything I had to not spill the beans last night!! We are naming her Ruby!!

The sunflowers didn't come up as consistent as we'd hoped, I think seed depth played a large part in the inconsistent growth.

Still a beautiful sight to see at sunset!

On another note, we had a wonderful wedding here a couple weeks ago, looking forward to sharing some photos.

We've been searching for a tractor that could help around the farm, and finally brought him home this week!

Meet Chesty Puller, our 1951 Ford 8N. Chesty will help manage tasks on the property, but cleans up nice for pictures as well.
