Our Story

Selah Groove Creative Arts & Enrichment Academy is a family owned business. We offer, dance-ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, modern, contemporary, hula, cheer, gymnastics, cooking, sewing, art, flute, violin & piano. We are the charter for American Heritage Girls Troop & offer other enrichment classes such as Princess class, The Modern Day Princess & More then a Princess class. We also offer a full Kindergarten prep with our “Selah Scholar” classes as well as Homeschooling classes. Artistic Director Lita Ramirez choreographs & brings in all curriculum for each class training all staff for classes. We have 5-6 performances a year from March- Sept. & a Christmas celebration Performance. Classes consists of instruction, technique, specific corrections, across the floor combinations, performance combinations. Every 6 months students are given an evaluation on progress & every year they will be able to move up to the next level &/or given a certificate on outstanding performance, outstanding kindness or helpful in class/with peers, as well as a certificate for achievement in dance/music/art level.

Your kids work hard in class & we want to honor our students!We give out Selah dollars- for work well done! Students receive 1 Selah dollar every time they attend class, $1 for participation & another for excellent performance/practice! Students will get to purchase from the Kings Treasure chest for gifts for themselves, families, friends/sponsor a friend. This special program will help our students learn the beauty of blessing another with a gift & earning Selah bucks to do this! We want to give back to our community & this is another way we want to show our love!

Our Selah Scholar classes prepare your child for Kindergarten with the tools necessary to help them achieve. They will learn the basics such as their ABC’s, numbers, colors and shapes with rich curriculums to make their learning informative and fun! More importantly, they will learn important values in a faith based environment such as socialization, sharing, problem solving and how friends, family and God play a huge role in their lives. These classes are offered Monday ,Wednesday and Friday from 9:30-1:30 for ages 3-6. They will also participate in a Graduation ceremony at the end of the year to celebrate their academic achievements. We also understand that it takes a “Community” to raise a child, therefore we celebrate our mothers, fathers and grandparents and celebrate those special holidays with invitations for family participation!

We also offer home school classes for our Selah Scholars ages 6-13 with a full curriculum. Studies include math, literature,science,history, music as well as various field trips to coincide with our curriculum. Our smaller class environment and fewer children to teacher ratio allow your child individualized learning . We are a home school vendor for Inspire, Springs River Springs, Harbor Springs, TLC, Julian and Dimensions.
