Ground Control Points (GCPs) are one of the key ways we ensure drone mapping data stays accurate. These targets are placed on the ground and surveyed with high-precision GNSS equipment, giving them known coordinates. During processing, the drone imagery and LiDAR data are tied to these surveyed locations, helping correct any small positional errors and improving the overall accuracy of the final deliverables. The result is a more reliable dataset for topographic mapping, design, construction, and earthwork calculations.

🎊 Our NEW website is LIVE!! 🎊 Big shoutout to my wife for helping get it started and built. It features our LiDAR and drone services, mapping/surveying, 3d modeling, quantity takeoffs, and analysis for forestry, power lines, solar and other utilities. Check it out!!

I have also created an engineering firm, Corey Hartwell, P.E. F-28137, to take on small scale projects y’all may need engineered that large firms won’t mess with! Residential, site, and civil. Quantity takeoffs, civil 3d design and modeling, house slab foundations, drainage/grading, and culverts/driveway improvements. I can fly LiDAR & then design a pond, grading, ect. off of it!
