Hi everyone! Demi here (the creative behind DIY Wedding School) here to make an amazing announcement! We have gotten so many DMS and emails about people wanting us to help them with their special wedding or bridal events. Unfortunately, that was not something we were doing at the time but now …. 😍😍😍😍😍

Amanda, the organizational queen and the woman who basically ran my wedding when my coordinator didn’t show up is now opening her own shop 📝

She’s there to be the person to think of the things you didn’t, to be the person to make sure everything is together so that you can truly enjoy your day and event. A consultant, a guider & a coordinator to help direct all of your vendors to make sure they are doing the jobs that you are paying them to do. We know how much goes into a wedding and we know how important it is to make sure everything goes smoothly — but that’s not your job, so let’s make it hers! ✨

Impromptu bridal bouquet for under $30.

for Amanda‘s wedding reception in the church she wanted a bridal bouquet that was filled with white textures, but we also added in some tropical elements with palms and minimal greenery.

She was inspired by simplicity, she wanted a bouquet that was subtle enough not to overpower her, but the detail in the bouquet grasped the attention of her loved ones.

This bouquet is so easy to make, we did it in under 20 minutes. What you can’t see is the dozens of rubber bands that are hidden throughout the bouquet. Yes, we would recommend floral tape, but we had to work with what we had and I knew at the end of the day the ribbon would cover all the imperfections 🙏🏼

So for those thinking they can’t do it themselves I promise you you can. We have a floral resource guide that we created for brides to learn how to do their own custom wedding bouquets, centerpieces, aisles and altar flowers all while saving cashhhhh 💸

Wedding tossers 🕊

I saw these fun pyramid tossers from online and I added my own print and our emblem used throughout my entire wedding 👰‍♀️

I loved how modern and fun those were. Be sure to think about how your tossers can hold up on their own. I liked the pyramids because they could lay flat while the guests watched the ceremony. Make sure it’s able to hang from the back of chair or sit down or they will have to hold it the entire time!

That lighting tho! 🌞

Great thing to remember is your ceremony time 💒 Make sure you think about the time of year and how early the sun sets!

This wedding was in February and the sun set a lot faster so we needed to make sure we had enough good lighting for pictures after the ceremony (wedding was at 4pm)

I also went to the space at the exact time of my ceremony so I can see how the lighting looked. I was in love with the way the sun shined through the windows ☀️

One way to really make your wedding / wedding parties unique is to create your own theme.

It becomes so easy to fall into the trap of going on Etsy and buying templates. Yes, that is a great way to save time, but not necessarily cost.

When you do it yourself as well, you’re putting your personal touch on it and it’s one of a kind. is an amazing tool to edit / create / design a LOT of your wedding signage and stationery!

Whether you are doing your invitations yourself or working with someone who does wedding stationery, make sure you add special elements that speak to you and your husband. It really ties everything together and makes it feel personal to you as a couple 👩‍❤️‍👨

Pro tip to doing a lot yourself: have a game plan and plan everything out ahead of time. I still managed to miscount or not buy a certain amount of candles. There are always mistakes made because it’s the first time doing something like this.

But let us make all the mistakes for you.

So many “I wish I did” whenever we talk to past brides. It’s inevitable to feel like that and I think as a bride we like to think we know what we’re doing and don’t really want others help. From experience, I think it’s because it’s finally something we are doing for ourselves, we finally get to have what we want.

Our biggest advice is to take from those who’ve been there. We are talking about past brides because they know what you’re going through.

We don’t want you to look back and say “I wish I did”
