As the 2024–2025 season draws to a close, it’s remarkable to reflect on how it began—with two major hurricanes. While the damage wasn’t on the scale of Hurricane Ian in 2022, the storm surge from Helene and Milton left a clear mark on Gasparilla Island, impacting both residents and local businesses.

The Boca Bay Pass Club’s Gulf Lawn—host to countless weddings, member events, and charitable gatherings—was among the areas affected. Take a look at the lawn before and after the storms.

A heartfelt thank-you goes out to the dedicated staff, first responders, and contractors who worked around the clock to help restore the club and the island.

The Boca Bay Pass Club Tennis Pros are featured in this week’s Beacon!

Our local Tennis Club pros put on a spectacular tennis showdown this past Friday evening at the Boca Bay Pass Club. There were 100 plus fans in attendance from the island's clubs. Pros here are John Cappabianca, John Janes, H Wetzel and Will Barry.
