The behind the (“plays with flowers all day”) scene view - 🌻🌷🌼🌺🌾🌿

Yes, that was me you saw tonight in Trader Joe’s buying sunflowers and gladiolus. My shipment got delayed because the storms in Florida forced flights to cancel and I knew the sunflowers and gladiolus had sentimental meaning for your early morning memorial service.

It was me you saw at Hobby Lobby trying to find the silk version of the out of season flower that was close to your loved ones heart.

I cried as I designed the flowers to cover the casket of your child that was taken too soon.

I prayed for you as you, through tears, tried to compose a card message that would do your loved one justice and convey your feelings in mere sentences.

I spent hours crunching numbers, counting flowers and creatively finding a way to make your wedding dreams not only come true but come true within budget.

The mailman will be bringing the Canadian flag I ordered online to go in your arrangement to represent the family abroad.

It was me who left flowers at the grave of your parents after your dad passed away, because he always made sure we had flowers at your mom’s grave.

I sat with you and soaked in th
e stories of your grandparent as you decided on your floral tributes, I felt honored to have those stories and your family shared with me for but a moment.

I got excited for you when you ordered your “pop the question” flowers because I know I did your first date flowers last year.

We send our fair share of dozen roses and mixed vases - the status quo of flowers if you will - but that is just what you see on the surface. There is so much more to being a florist, there is heart and soul, late nights and early mornings, smiles and tears, love and laughter, memories and the building of long lasting relationships.

Though the long hours and the range of emotions can make us weary, the fulfillment we get from knowing that your flowers had a deeper meaning than just blooms on your table is completely worth it.
This profession is a calling, not an occupation.

I contacted Coastal Floral & Events, no more than two weeks before my wedding date. Lauri, was on the ball every step of the way. I emailed her pictures of the flowers I’d chosen for my wedding, and within 30minutes I had an invoice and had placed an order just as quickly. Her bouquet and bout designs were just beautiful & the flowers I ordered for my reception were fresh & beautiful as well!!!!

Lauri at Coastal Floral & Events was one of the easiest decisions I ever made. As soon as I sat down with Lauri she understood my vision and was on board. She actually ended up helping me enhance the entire vision of my wedding. Any request or change that I needed to make she understood me and was beyond helpful. Coastal Floral & Events had all vases, pillars, lanterns, and other accessories that I needed. I didn’t have to think twice about finding anything on my own. We definitely hit it off and she went above and beyond all of my expectations. I would recommend anyone to Lauri @ Coastal Floral & Events if you are looking for a florist who really makes a connection with you and will bend over backwards for you!

Lauri and her team @ Coastal Floral was absolutely amazing to work with for our special day! As we live in Charlotte, I was nervous about choosing a florist for our wedding in Hilton Head and having to make decisions long distance. I read the reviews on her and saw that so many brides had wonderful things to say about how easy it is to work with Lauri and how beautifully their flowers turned out. I have to say, everyone was completely right! Lauri was responsive to all of my requests, comments and concerns via email and phone. Lauri changed our invoice several times when I changed my mind and was open to any suggestions I had, while also providing expert advice on what would look best. I was absolutely in love with my bouquet and center pieces. The quality of her work in incomparable! Thank you so much, Lauri and Coastal Floral & Events, for making our wedding day so beautiful and carefree!!!
