IMPENDING WEATHER ADVISORY- (Sunday/Monday Jan 25/26)
YES, WE ARE ON THE CUFF OF AN EXPECTED SNOW STORM. A POTENTIAL MEGASTORM. However, our crystal ball is currently broke, therefore we are unable to predict what Sunday night into Monday is going to look like.
SAFETY*******SAFETY********SAFETY********SAFETY********
IF we are unable to collect your trash due to unsafe road conditions, we will ATTEMPT to collect as soon as it is safe to do so, no exceptions. We will NOT put anyone in harms way while local and state agencies attempt to clear roadways. It is during this time that the state often closes the major highways, therefore the restrictions go beyond our decision making process. If the storm is as big as predicted, we may have to bump collection until the next week.
Fought's Disposal Service Inc. reserves the right to cancel collection service on days or in areas in which we deem the roads are unsafe due to snow or ice. Although an individual may feel their road is fine to travel in their personal vehicle, we will NOT put our staff, our equipment or your lives in jeopardy. It will hold just fine for one more week. There may be no makeup runs. There will not be adjustments to bills.
Remember white bags are hard to see in snow. Please make sure that all trash is placed in open areas free of snow and ice. If you have shoveled out for the postman, why not the trashman. Please make sure that all bags are free of snow and ice, why pay for it.
Same time every year and same concerns every year. Let us all work together to get everyone home safe and sound at the end of the day. Although it is important, it is trash.
These are trying times and everyone is going to be in the same boat. We ask for your understanding and should you have any questions, please call, but remember, we will not know the status until sometime Sunday into Monday as to what exactly we are facing.
Thank you,
Fought's Disposal Service Inc.
