Heads up, drivers: Rogers Street is about to take a short vacation. 🚧

Beginning Tuesday, May 26, Rogers Street north of the entrance to Switchyard Park - City of Bloomington, IN will temporarily close for construction of the new Powerline Trail crossing. The closure is expected to last through Sunday, June 7, 2026.

We know road closures are nobody’s favorite summer activity, but this one is helping connect neighborhoods, parks, and trails with a safer pedestrian crossing and a new trail connection.

During construction, the Rogers Street entrance to Switchyard Park will be accessible only from the south.

Thanks for your patience while we work to connect Bloomington's parks and trails!
