Hark, noble lords and fair ladies! Hoosier Officiant has added a new Short & Sweet wedding ceremony!

The Ye Olde Wedding Ceremony is for the playful pair who revel in the pageantry and revelry of a traditional Renaissance faire. Harkening back to a time when men were lords, women were ladies, and chivalry and merriment reigned supreme, this ceremony is penned in the language of the king and dedicated to the glory of the queen. Borrowing verses from renowned bards of both past and present, it provides a tapestry of eloquence on which to begin a splendid matrimonial celebration. Huzzah!

Thanks to Anna Clark Photo for sharing pictures from Cari & Alex's wedding at The Wilds Wedding & Event Venue. It was such a beautiful wedding and she did a fabulous job catching the feel of the day and the relationship between this lovely couple.

Hoosier Officiant has a variety of pre-written ceremonies to choose from. I'm always looking for new ideas for ceremony themes. What theme would you add? For example, here are some ideas I've pondered in the past... The Hoosier (IU theme), The Far Far Away (Star Wars themed), The Nautical (boating themed), The Seasons of Love (nature/seasons of the year themed), Ye Olde Wedding (Renaissance themed), The Evermore (Taylor Swift themed!), The Meant to Be (fate/soul mates themed).

The beautiful Beck Chapel, located next to Indiana Memorial Union the heart of IU's campus and named for alumni Frank O. Beck and Daisy Woodward Beck, was built in 1956 as a space for prayer and meditation. It is open to the public everyday for quiet contemplation, prayer, or meditation every day and can be reserved for weddings, memorial services, and other solemn ceremonies.

Hoosier Officiant is on Beck Chapel's short list of recommended officiants to preside over weddings in this beautifully quaint and historic venue.

Have you ever heard of or experienced a ring warming? During a ring warming ceremony, the couple's wedding bands are passed among the wedding guests who, upon receiving them, will “warm” the rings with a prayer, good wishes, or positive vibes for the couple's future together.
