In case any of you are wondering why I've been quieter this year (besides dealing with John's passing), here is another reason... The total redo of all of my growing areas, started last year, continues.

Here is a sneak peek. This is (part of) the back yard, taken from the driveway that circles the house. There is still *lots* more to do (as seen by the bag of mulch not yet spread) but it's getting there (albeit s-l-o-w-l-y, lol).

I'm harvesting caryopteris which is always covered in bees. This girl found my hand more interesting than the blossom! 😁

Woohoo! As some of you may remember, I ordered a greenhouse (from another company) in late October last year. I got excuse after excuse and delay after delay. Finally, after threatening to cancel my order, I received it in April.

It was totally wrecked.

The pallets & boxes were falling apart with broken components spilling out.

So, obviously, I refused it and sent it back. The excuses started up again. I gave them a deadline to receive the replacement. They did not meet it, so I canceled my order and got my money back.

It took a while to find another greenhouse I liked that would fit the concrete footing I'd had a contractor pour for the first one. This greenhouse is shorter than the first but I'll use the extra length to make an area for hardening off plants.

I splurged on this one & got the top package which includes a lot of extras, so even though it is a bit smaller, I think it will be much better overall. And from ordering to (estimated) delivery is just over 2 weeks!

And I assume the time estimate listed is supposed to be 10-11:30 *AM*! 😂

Oh, and if you want to know the name of the first greenhouse company (or if you have any other questions), comment, "WHO?" and I'll message you.
