๐Ÿ“ข Blanco Rodeo Association Announcement

After careful consideration, the Blanco Rodeo Association will not be participating as a group in this yearโ€™s Christmas Parade with horses.

While horses are being allowed in the parade, we want to prioritize the health and safety of our equine partners. I spoke with a friend currently attending the veterinary conference in Colorado, and veterinarians there are predicting another round of EHV within the next 30 days.

Out of an abundance of caution, we have decided to stay vigilant and sit this one out for 2025.

We appreciate everyoneโ€™s understanding and hope to join back in next year when things are safer for our horses. โค๏ธ๐Ÿด๐ŸŽ„

Our Story

Started a โ€œfewโ€ years back by our loving community members that were dedicated to continuing the love and passion for horse and bull riding, the Blanco Rodeo Association was born. Our arena, Marvin Haas Arena, is located in Yett Memorial Park just off of Highway 281 in Blanco Texas.

The Blanco Rodeo Association operates now as a 501C3 non-profit for the purpose of preserving and promoting traditional Western livestock and rodeo culture through community educational workshops and camps, public exhibitions, rodeo competitions, maintaining a public arena facility for these activities, and gifting scholarships to students pursuing higher education in related fields.
