We had a great time with Happy Times Tours & Experiences yesterday as they stopped to have lunch at Blanchard Hall, catered by Bistro On Main.
The tour group got a presentation of all things wool from Kriss Marion of Circle M Market Farm BnB. They all learned how to make wool tomatoes! 🍅
Most of the tour were people from the Madison and Milwaukee area. They all enjoyed their time spent in Blanchardville.

Blanchard Hall loves hosting meetings, family reunions, Bridal and baby showers, weddings, and many more events.

One of the things we love about hosting these events is it brings a lot of people to blanchardville to hopefully visit our other stores, restaurants, taverns, and Airbnb type accommodations. We love bringing people to town to benefit the other businesses in town!

An Under-talked About Family-Friendly Location

Resting on the banks of the Pecatonica River is Blanchardville Wisconsin. Whether you want to take a day trip, or spend the whole weekend, there's something for everyone!

We guarantee you the kids will love McKellar Park. The McKellar Park Swim Pond, is a newer attraction for the Lafayette County area. Additionally, the Driftless Valley Disc Golf Course offers another great recreational activity that's also fairly new to town.

When it comes to cuisine, not a fast food restaurant can be found in town. Instead, you'll find a mixture of sit down restaurants and bars with good food. River Bend Cafe offers a great home cooked meal for both breakfast and lunch. Bistro On Main is your one stop shop for all things caffeine and sandwiches, pizza, and sweet treats. Should you crave a cold drink, Rachel & Ray's Pub & Grill will treat you just right up with the coldest drinks in town and good bar food. If you finished swimming or you're looking to get out of the heat, The Viking Scoop is the place to be. Lastly, Cork Down Saloon is out by Yellowstone Lake State Park and also offers good food and some of the best live music in the county.

Your shopping fix can be satisfied at Rooted Collective 201 LLC. The store is filled with works from talented makers, bakers, and crafters from the area. Additionally, you can find Paulson Grass Fed Beef inside the store. Grab some steaks before you head out of town.

There are a few services you could book if you plan ahead. Naturally Empowered Living and Angie Rae Wellness will both welcome you with open arms. Check out each of those businesses to see exactly what they offer. Blanchard Hall is quite possibly the most versatile venue you can rent in southwestern Wisconsin. If you're looking for the cheapest gas in town, the C-Stores of Blanchardville Coop can get you filled up before you leave.

Lastly, you don't have to just come for the day, extend your trip with some great lodging options. Drift Inn Cabins are located right off the river. Yellowstone Lake Cabin Rentals are out by the state park and offer views for days. If you'd like to stay in the heart of it all, Hotel Blanchard, located above Rachel & Ray's Pub & Grill. McKellar Park also offers camping at a super cheap rate if that's more your style.

We hope to hear of your adventure to town in the near future.

Oh, one final thing! There's a challenge in town to see if you can discover how many Blanchards live there. Good luck.

Enjoy, friends.

Big thank you to Cory DeSmet and the Blanchardville EMS for getting us the AED to help make it accessible to all of downtown Blanchardville.

We are so proud to support and advocate for the P.A.M. Alliance! What a great opportunity to learn and help one another.

🔥Look at this powerful group of P.A.M. Champions! We covered a lot of ground in our first All Sips, No Stigma Coffee Conversation at Bistro On Main: the need for cross-system and cross-municipality collaboration, the power of local advocates, the importance of a variety of organizations and perspectives entering the conversation, and the cost and availability of mental health care and health care - especially in rural areas and for working class people.
.. And, of course, the importance and growing need of reducing stigma around discussing mental health and mental health challenges. The beauty of this group is that by coming together at a table and sharing, we are already taking meaningful steps to do just that.

Want to learn more about The P.A.M. Alliance and how to get involved? Visit our website today: www.thepamalliance.org/get-involved

Plus, our first book club conversation is this Monday, July 27 at 5:30 p.m. at Blanchardville Public Library in partnership with Naturally Empowered Living! Even if you haven't read "Reasons to Stay Alive" just yet, stop by and chat. We have a feeling you will not regret it.

Ryan park looks fantastic this morning! Blanchardville Community Pride would like to thank Rolly, Nate and Austin from the village for their work trimming branches and shrubs, sprucing things up, and cleaning up after the Main Street project. Everything is ready for tonight's music in the park featuring The Country Four!
