We’ve been looking back at old pictures to remind ourselves how far we’ve come. First picture is from 2018, when Tony was restoring the pool table about a month after we closed on the cabin. We knew this place was a gem but nobody had maintained it for years and years. The forest was encroaching on the foundation and completely obstructing the view of the pond.

Since then we have spent countless days clearing brush and trees to protect the building and restore this gorgeous view. Tony’s become pretty skilled with the chainsaw and we’ve been able to use the tree trunks and wood chips for building and landscaping projects. I took the second picture this past Sunday while we were building our first table for the taproom.

Hard work but so rewarding to see the progress 😊

What a beautiful weekend for porch sitting. At you have three to choose from 😻 If you look closely in the third picture you can see our first newlyweds and their guests right after a beautiful ceremony by the pond 👰🏼‍♀️🤵🏻‍♂️ We couldn’t have asked for a more fun, gracious, lovely couple for our inaugural wedding 💜 We were truly honored to be around of so much joy, love, and good energy 😊 Congratulations, Kristen & Gene!

The hydrilla plant, is by far the most common water plant in the lake. However the cattails make for a much nicer flower arrangement.
