🖋️ From Clicks to Keys: A Journey Through Time ⏳

It’s amazing to think about how much technology has evolved! From the rhythmic clatter of a 1940s typewriter, once owned by the legendary poet Bryon Herbert Reece, to the sleek touchscreens and AI-powered tools we use today—innovation never stops.
The typewriter was once the pinnacle of productivity, shaping literature and ideas with every keystroke. Today, we communicate instantly across the globe, with just a tap or a voice command.

While modern advancements continue to push boundaries, there’s something undeniably nostalgic about the timeless craftsmanship of early machines. You will find two of these fine machines at Reece Farm and Heritage Center!

In the 40 plus years of his life, he worked hard as a subsistence farmer on his family's Appalachian homestead. The Reece Heritage Farm is located in Union County, Georgia, just south of Blairsville. We are dedicated to preserving Reece’s legacy and the early 20th Century Appalachian style of life. The site offers something for all ages: exhibits, local hand-made goods for sale, and farm animals to meet.

The Farm’s physical address is 8552 Gainesville Hwy, Blairsville, GA 30512. The Farm is open April through November. The property is open daily, and the Visitor Center is open Wednesday through Saturday, 10 to 4. Call 706-745-2034 for more information. There are no admission fees!
