We have big news to announce! 🎉 🎉 🎉

The Montgomery Museum will be the lead host and conference services planner to welcome the Virginia Association of Museums (VAM) to Blacksburg, Virginia (Town of Blacksburg Government) for their 2025 conference and annual meeting. This conference will bring between 300 and 400 museum professionals, exhibitors, and speakers to the The Inn at Virginia Tech and Skelton Conference Center in March 2025.

Museum staff traveled to Virginia Beach for the VAM 2024 conference to make the official announcement. We are so pleased and proud to represent Montgomery County, VA and play a large role in community and economic development for Blacksburg and the surrounding region.

Arts, history, and culture is very important and next year, industry professionals from across the Commonwealth will visit our community where we can show off the invaluable cultural assets that the two Towns and County have to offer as a gateway to Virginia's Appalachia.
