Unfortuantley - the Be The Light 5k & Fun Run - scheduled for this evening - has been cancelled.
With the forecast for continued rain, the likelihood of fog, and decreasing tempertures we felt that running at in the dark posed a safety hazard for all involved.
And.. honestly.. it just wouldn't be the festive family fun we were all hoping for.

There was a great turnout for the Meet Me at the Forest 5K yesterday in Forest City, NC.
Ben Kassel [40, Davidson] crushed the course in 16:13. Local standout Hayes Weatherman [17, Forest City] was 2nd in 17:20.
AND check this out - 10 YEAR OLD Jimmy Ray [Gaffney, SC] posted a 18:22 to take 3rd.
Shelby Gurley [27, Marion] ran 19:41 to earn 1st Women/7th OA. [Husband Wes was 1 second behind - pushing their daughter in a stroller!]
Theresa ONeil [26, Rutherfordton] was the 2nd Women in 23:51.
