Our final Picnic In The Pasture of the season is coming up on September 27th from 12-3pm at Sweet Freedom Farm. We’re not trying to brag… but Spud and I think the weather on Sunday up here at 8600 feet looks pretty fantastic! It will be the most perfect day to come enjoy a relaxing afternoon in nature, around animals, and helping out Charlie’s Place Animal Rescue.

We have a VERY special guest coming to our August Picnic in the Pasture… 🐾❤️

Meet Bandit.

Bandit is an 8-year-old Cattle Dog/Pit Bull Terrier who has spent quite a bit of time lately proving that adoptable dogs can be some of the very best dogs.

He’s been out and about at fundraisers, parades, gatherings and county fairs — making friends, winning hearts, and apparently collecting titles like Best Looking, Bestest Boy, and Best Costume. 😂

He loves walks, is good with adults and kids, and gets along with most other dogs.

And on August 16th ,Bandit is excited for an afternoon at Sweet Freedom Farm.

He’ll be our special adoptable guest at Picnic in the Pasture, where you can come say hello, give him some love, and learn more about adopting him through Charlie’s Place.

Because as much fun as Bandit has being a local celebrity…

we think his greatest adventure is still waiting for him with a forever family❤️

And who knows? Maybe someone coming to the farm that afternoon is exactly who he’s been waiting for.

Our August 16 picnic might be my favorite one yet—not only because it’s a chance to squeeze in one more slow summer afternoon together before the school-year rush, but because 50% of our profits will be donated to Friends of Charlie’s Place.

Not every memorable day needs a packed schedule.

Sometimes the best afternoons are the ones where you simply can...

On August 16th, we invite you to slow down and spend an afternoon at Sweet Freedom Farm.

We'll spread out a picnic blanket beneath the Colorado sky just for you.

Meet our rescued herd of horses. Say hi to the chickens.

Create something with your hands.

Take a peaceful walk through the forest.

Laugh a little longer.

Breathe a little deeper.

Reconnect with the people you love.

And this month, your afternoon will make an even bigger difference.

We're honored to partner with Friends of Charlie's Place, a local nonprofit dedicated to supporting shelter animals in our community. We will donate 50% of all event profits from our August 16 Picnic in the Pasture to help Friends Of Charlie's Place provide care and support for animals waiting for their forever homes.
