The Courtyard

The Courtyard Courtyard located in historic Brewery Gulch in the heart of Old Bisbee. Available for your next spec This Courtyard used to be a vacant lot, but is now an Oasis.

What was once a business establishment in the center of historic Brewery Gulch, one of the old West's wildest streets, is now a retreat and one of Bisbee's most notable gardens. To our friends and fellow artists in the Bisbee community,

This February, we celebrate two whole years of Howl, Chirp, Squeak, and Roar. What started as an idea and a hope for creative connection has transformed into a monthly return home to ourselves. Despite how busy life has become, or how intense the world has managed to seem, we have met again, month after month. In our stories and songs, in our dances and our pillow-clad floor cuddles, in our tears and laughter, and in our howls into the skies of this town we love, we have made something more beautiful than we could have ever imagined.

At this anniversary, we announce that this February 24, 2026, we will be hosting our final chapter of Howl, Chirp, Squeak, and Roar. We will have arms full of the final copies of our zines, and arms openly ready for hugs. Bring your favorite stories you’ve collected in witness to this event. Bring a friend who might need the intimate uplifting we know to be true of this space. Bring hope for your own artistic expression, knowing this closing stage is just the beginning of spaces that are ready to celebrate you, in Bisbee and beyond. We believe wholeheartedly that we are all imaginative enough to dream up more iterations of collaborative sharing in the years ahead, a tradition that Bisbee has always managed to proliferate, no matter the circumstances.

Thank you for creating and growing with us for the last two years, and for committing to the magic that occurs when artists come together and let themselves be heard. We look forward to seeing you for one last howl on February 24th!

Jason Dea West,
21st century Troubadour

Jason has been writing, recording and performing folk music around the country for some decades.
In his early years he traveled the country by freight train, hitchhiking and in questionable old vehicles, cutting his teeth as a young busker on the streets of New Orleans, Nashville, Austin, Chicago and San Fransisco.

He has toured extensively with different bands throughout the lower 48 States and Alaska, appearing in barn dances and taverns, theaters and music festivals, the circus and vaudeville circuits and on radio and in film, forging and delivering his own unique blend of American folk and western music. He is a self-built, independent artists who has gained the attention of many passionate fans all over the world.

Wests’ poignant songwriting breathes new life into vintage sounds of country, folk and blues. From fierce guitar and harmonica instrumentals to humorous and heartfelt song and story, Jason never strays far away from his traditional untraditional anarchic punk-folk roots.

In recent years Jason has worked as direct support for Sierra Ferrel, Lostdog Street Band & The Bridge City Sinners.

Join us tomorrow for our closing of a beautiful gathering of community, Howl, Chirp, Squeak, & Roar.

Britt Warner is a multidisciplinary artist originally from Los Angeles. Now based in Tucson, she teaches pilates at several popular studios and hosts a monthly writers group at Bar Crisol. Her work spans music, literature, and movement, with a performance practice that swims fluidly between dynamic singing, ethereal vocal textures, structured songwriting, and improvisation.
Her first novella, “Swimming With Horses,” was released in May 2025. Her second book, “The Old Carousel,” a collection of short stories and poetry, was released January 16, 2026, and is available on her website or locally at Bar Crisol.
This performance will feature a story and poem from the latter, which reads like a spicy feminine reckoning, weaving a modern woman’s journey from disembodied and desensitized back to a gradual awakening. Join us on Tuesday, February 24th from 6:30-8:30 PM for a lovely evening, surrounded by talent, for our final chapter of Howl, Chirp, Squeak, & Roar!
