The Airing of the Quilts Exhibit at the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute has been extended through August 9th!

This exhibit features handmade quilts by the women of Gee’s Bend—a community where quilting became not just a tradition but a form of resistance.

Presented in partnership with the Freedom Quilting Bee Legacy, this exhibition is a preview of the Airing of the Quilts Festival taking place on October 4.
