Today, Harambe room celebrates the 78th birthday of the extraordinary man who brought this vision to life - our founder, creator, and cultural pioneer.
When he envisioned Harambe room, he didn’t just create an event space. He created a living, breathing homage to the black diaspora and a sanctuary that honors our rich African American heritage. To this day, Harambe room stands as the most beautiful example of African American history in the city of Birmingham.
At 78 years young, our founder continues to embody the strength, wisdom, and vision that built this sacred space. His legacy lives in every corner of Harambe room - in the stories these walls tell, in the culture we celebrate, and in the community we serve.
This space exists because one man had the courage to dream, the strength to build, and the heart to honor our ancestors and our future. Today we celebrate not just his birthday, but his immeasurable contribution to preserving and celebrating black excellence in Birmingham.
