For the past five or so years we have hosted a dinner at Shady Lane for the Samford University Acapella Choir during their rehearsal camp. Our son Jake Adler sang in this stellar group for all four of his Samford years and each time we hear them it is a musical and spiritual gift. So here they are, recorded right after a wonderful Daniel D'Armond Catering dinner, singing “Praise to God”, conducted by Philip Copeland.

The Barn at Shady Lane is a marvelous wedding venue. Linda, Micheal and their army of help are wonderful.
We always love catering events at the Barn at Shady Lane. Michael and Linda and their staff are great and turning the ceremony space into the reception space works like a machine.

Michael and Linda Adler/The Barn at Shady Lane are the best, not only with a beautiful venue, but really being invested in ensuring that nothing is missed in planning an event.
I don’t know where to begin to express our gratitude for their kindness and guidance as we went through the process of planning Katie Elkins Corley's wedding. Everything was “Perfect” and I have seldom heard anyone say that their big day was perfect. So much goes into creating the perfect day, but The Barn at Shady Lane played a huge part in creating that description. We have talked over and over with so many friends of what a beautiful venue they have and the love that is behind it shows through, especially true in that they have used reclaimed wood throughout. A definite highlight is the "Brides" loft, many fun memories were made up there with the girls - a perfect hideaway! Just when we thought it couldn't get any better we were told that The Barn at Shady Lane now has a "Grooms Cabin" - our guy's were able to hang out in this wonderful cabin, beautifully furnished, big screen TV and plenty of space for everyone, offering our guy's the opportunity to be rock stars when the band joined them for a meal (thanks Trotline).
The Barn at Shady Lane has hit the nail on the head with what they have to offer! We will certainly be using this venue for many occasions in the future.
