SLOSS FURNACES 🤝 honoring Alabama’s past + forging its future

Birmingham’s Sloss Furnaces was established in 1881 and eventually became the largest pig iron producer in the world.

Today, Sloss Furnaces is a way for visitors and locals to learn about Birmingham’s history—and during Sloss Tech, it’s also the home of a few of our 🔥 events.

It’s almost here.

Sloss Tech officially kicks off on Wednesday, June 25 at 3PM with our first-ever pitch competition. At Innovation Depot that evening, join us for Tech on Tap x Startup Showcase.

On Thursday, we’ll kick off the conference with opening sessions, founder features, flash talks and more before we wrap with our keynote from Rashaun Williams. AL HQ is open Thursday - Friday with programming highlighting innovation across the state. 🙌

Our VIP ticket holders will make their way to the VIP experience, and we’ll all meet up again on Friday where we’ll hear from our morning keynotes Zack Kass and Johnny Cupcakes. Enjoy a full morning of workshops, breakout sessions, networking and more. We close with our main stage panel on Tech for Good with Ruha Benjamin in partnership with the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute.

Feels like a packed schedule? That’s because it is—and this doesn’t even begin to cover everything our attendees and speakers will experience next week! We’ve got lots in store for ya.
