I can’t lie, I am a sucker for some good getting ready photos. I feel like having them in a gallery really helps tell the story of the entire wedding day and the energy surrounding it. That being said, if it all feels staged and pose-y to you, you can absolutely ask for a more candid approach OR, heck, just skip it all together. There’s no rules here!

This is your reminder that engagement sessions can be whatever you want them to be. You don’t have to do a whole grandiose thing if it isn’t YOU. I loved capturing John and Kristi simply existing together, in their home, with their fur babies. The quiet, most intimate, and cherished part of so many partnerships is simply existing together in every day life. There’s not much that’s more beautiful than that.
