Our dad, Daniel Martin Smith Sr., passed away peacetully on Saturday, April 18, 2026. He was at home, surrounded by his wife and children, after several months of battling a rare and aggressive cancer.
Out of respect for our dad’s wishes, we have kept this private.
Tesla, our parents’ dog, and Ava, our parents’ cat, were also close by us. Our dad was holding the rosary as we prayed with him. Photos of our family, his parents, and his siblings were all around us, reflecting the incredible life he lived and the moments he cherished most.
We are in the process of finalizing funeral arrangements and will provide details once they are contirmed, most likely early next week.
In honor of our dad, please keep him and our family in your thoughts and prayers.
His battle is over. The cancer is gone. He is not. ❤️
