Today was hard. St Vincent’s has decided not to renew my lease and today was my very last day. This is the very last picture as the owner of Chris Z’s. My nephew David, my longest employee ever, is pictured here with me. We worked together over 13 years. I’ve been so fortunate to work with so many family and friends through the past 20 years. It’s been a great run.
I continue to be a partner with George and Jennifer Annab in Birmingham Wings and Waffles, and have really enjoyed the overwhelming success of that store.
To everyone who has been a customer at Chris Z’s over the past 20 years, I just can’t thank you enough. You made a young man who loved cooking, who had a dream of owning his own restaurant, feel the “love” of the restaurant business in this amazing city. I have truly loved being a small part of your lives, you have definitely been a huge part of mine!
