10 things I learned dating toxic men

1️⃣ “Good morning” texts every day is not effort. It’s just keeping you as an option. If he’s not planning dates and showing up — he’s just making sure you don’t forget him.

2️⃣ A man who always shows up empty handed came to take, not give. Rich or broke, a man who’s interested always finds a way to invest in you.

3️⃣ If he falls in love before he knows your last name — be nervous. He’s not falling for you. He’s falling for the idea of having you.

4️⃣ Jealousy is not love. A little territorial is normal. But controlling your location, your phone, who you talk to — that’s not romance. That’s a warning sign.

5️⃣ Late night messages and last minute invites mean you’re the backup plan. You deserve to be someone’s first thought — not what they reach for when nothing else worked out.

6️⃣ Trust what you SEE more than what he SAYS. Men will lie to your face with a smile. Your eyes never lie back to you.
