The short answer: it depends on what you need!

We work with businesses, organizations, schools, nonprofits, families, and some really fun people doing really interesting things.

Our team works across social, branding, websites, photography, video, design, strategy, and more. But we don't believe in handing every client the same list of services and calling it marketing.

We want to learn your business. What’s working 👍 What’s not 👎 Where you’re trying to go 🚀 Then we figure out what will actually help you get there.

POV: You look back at your family photos and remember exactly what life felt like then 🤍

Not just what everyone looked like.

You remember the way your kids laughed, the personality they had at that exact age, the way everyone fit together, the expressions and little interactions that were so normal at the time, and you didn't realize how much you'd miss them.

Yes, we'll get the smiling-at-the-camera photo for the Christmas card. But we also want the laughter, the movement, the personalities, and the moments that look like your actual life.

Because years from now, you won't just want to remember what everyone looked like, you'll want to remember what life *felt* like right then 🥲

Meet the humans behind Bright & Gray 👋

We spend a lot of time around here talking about what we create, but there’s a whole lot more to our team than client calls, content days, deadlines, and project decks.

So we thought we’d show you both sides: Bright & Gray, clocked in and clocked out.

The people doing the designing, filming, photographing, strategizing, writing, editing, and everything in between are also traveling, going to baseball games, spending time with their people, eating wildly oversized cotton candy, and apparently still finding ways to end up behind a camera. 😂

Because you work with people, not just a company. And these are some of the really great humans behind ours.

I’ve been the one-person marketing department.

And when I say one person, I mean one person doing the website, social, emails, graphic design, photography, video, PR, events, copywriting, strategy, and whatever else landed on my desk that day.

I got pretty good at wearing a lot of hats. But eventually I realized something: being capable of doing all of those things didn’t mean one person should be responsible for all of them.

That experience is a big part of why we built Bright & Gray Creative the way we did.

Instead of hiring one generalist and expecting them to somehow be your strategist, designer, photographer, videographer, web designer, copywriter, and social media expert, you get a team of people who each specialize in what they do.

And there’s another side of this conversation that businesses don’t always consider: the cost.

An in-house hire isn’t just a salary. There are benefits, payroll costs, equipment, software, training, and all the other expenses that come with adding someone to your team. And after all of that, you still hired one person.

We actually built a calculator that helps businesses compare the estimated cost of an in-house marketing hire with working with Bright & Gray.

Because sometimes the question isn’t, “Who should we hire?”

We kid 😂 And honestly, we can turn things around quickly when it makes sense for your business.

But fast just for the sake of being fast? Posting just to say we posted? Chasing something viral because everyone else is doing it? That’s not really our thing.

There’s already enough noise out there.

Everything we create has a reason behind it. The topic, the hook, the format, the timing, the audience, the goal. Sometimes we’re trying to reach new people. Sometimes we’re building trust. Sometimes the data is telling us exactly what your audience needs next.

But there’s *always* a strategy.

We don’t make social content for social content’s sake. We make it to do something for your business.
