The Kilmer Mansion on Riverside Drive is an event venue for weddings, parties, recitals, and meetings. Inside you will find a grand parlor, music room, dining room, and more. A library and large social hall are also available. Outside are beautiful gardens and a large 20x40 foot covered pad. Grand architecture is on display in each of the rooms available for your occasion accommodating 25 to 200 people. A large commercial-style kitchen is available for catered parties.

Born April 11, 1844 to Daniel and Maria (Shriver) Kilmer - Happy Birthday Jonas M. Kilmer! 🥳

Jonas and Julia (Sharpe) Kilmer, parents of Willis S. Kilmer, were the owners of Kilmer Mansion until their passing in 1912.

Jonas moved to Binghamton at age 34 and with his brother, Dr. Andral Kilmer, made the name Kilmer one of the most famous names in Binghamton history!

Visit Jonas and Julia’s home & hear their infamous stories! Guided tours available - Most Wednesdays at 11am and 6pm.

April 27th will be our last bunco of the season and it will be only $15 to attend! This will be a special bunco. The mansion is being prepped for the June Designer Show House, and we are going to give you one last look of the second and third floors!

What is the Designer Show House?
Hosted by the Junior League of Binghamton - rooms of the mansion will be transformed by local designers into an incredible vision, and you’ll get to experience it! June 3-17th - you’ll have the opportunity to purchase tickets to an Open House Tour, Historic Guided Tour, Smoke & Sip Cigar & Whiskey Evening, Chef Cook Off and more! What’s better? All proceeds will go to Junior League of Binghamton and will support their community project, a Food Recovery & Prepared Meal Truck. A truck that will reduce food waste by turning leftover food into free meals for Broome & Tioga County residents.

What's the Designer Show House? Rooms of Kilmer Mansion will be transformed into a DREAM HOUSE by local designers! June 3-17th there will be Open House Tours, Historic Guided Tours, Private Group Tours & special events like: a Chef Cook Off, Cigar & Whiskey Night, and Meet the Designers Soirée! All proceeds will support and their community impact projects - including their current project, The Food Recovery & Prepared Meal Truck

Our Story

The Jonas M. Kilmer Mansion is the sole survivor of the four original mansions on the east end of Riverside drive . The Mansion is owned and supported by Temple Concord, a nonprofit organization.

The Mansion is home to one of the last grand parlors of the Parlor City. Built in 1898, it is part home and part castle. It features turrets and towers, ballrooms and balconies. Visitors will find fine stonework and masterful woodwork. You can savor the unique beauty of this historic treasure. Join us for tours, music concerts, and other special events!
