That’s what Mitch is doing here at Trillium Lakes and Links Club, fresh from the Weyhausen wedding.

It looks relaxed because he knows exactly what he’s doing. Years in clubs, years at weddings, years of reading people and building parties the right way. That’s the premium difference. Not random. Not rushed. Not a guy with a playlist and a microphone.

And then, if the night is right, something like this just shows up.

Nick and Abby in the middle of the dance floor, friends circling them, and a kiss at the exact second nobody saw coming, including us.

Abby and Nick’s reception at Blowing Rock Country Club deserved to sound right from the very first second. Kipper always does a quick little scratch during soundcheck to make sure the speakers, controller, audio, and crossfader are all locked in before guests come in. A little ridiculous, maybe. Still important.
