Our Competition: 💪🏼

Honestly… I don’t really do competition.

I know that might sound funny coming from someone who owns a wedding business, but I truly believe there is room for everyone.

There are a whole lot of wedding vendors out there, and guess what? That’s a good thing!!

We have different styles. Different personalities. Different price points. Different visions. Different ways of doing things. Most importantly, we attract different couples.

Not every bride is looking for what I offer, and that’s okay.

The same goes the other way around.

If a couple chooses another florist, that doesn’t mean I lost. It means they found someone who was the right fit for them. And when someone else gets a booking, I don’t see it as something being taken away from me.

There is enough business to go around!

I would much rather recommend another vendor than talk badly about them.

I would rather celebrate someone else’s big win than sit around wondering why it wasn’t mine.

I would rather share someone’s work, send them a referral, cheer them on, and genuinely be happy for them.

Because there is something I will never understand: why are we making our own industry harder than it already is?

There is absolutely no reason for the pettiness.

No reason for the gossip.

No reason for the drama.

No reason to tear another business down because they offer something similar to what you offer.

You can have competition without having enemies.

You can be confident in your business without being threatened by someone else’s.

You can know your worth without needing to convince everyone else that someone else’s work isn’t worth theirs.

And you can support another woman in business without worrying that her success somehow takes away from yours.

It doesn’t.

Someone else’s flowers don’t make mine less beautiful.

Someone else’s bookings don’t make my calendar less full.

Someone else’s growth doesn’t make my business smaller.

And someone else’s success doesn’t prevent me from having my own.

At The Bohemian Gypsy Florals, I want to be part of a wedding industry where vendors lift each other up. Where we refer when we’re not the right fit. Where we celebrate each other’s milestones. Where we recommend people we trust. Where we can sit at the same networking event, compliment each other’s work, and genuinely mean it.

Because at the end of the day, we’re all working toward the same thing:

Making someone’s wedding day absolutely beautiful!

So, no. I don’t do competition.

I do community.

I do collaboration.

I do cheering people on.

I do sending referrals.

I do celebrating the hell out of another woman’s success.

And if someone wants to spend their time competing, comparing, gossiping, or creating drama…

They can have fun with that. 😂

I’ve got weddings to design.

I’ve got flowers to create.

I’ve got couples to love on.

And I’ve got a business to build.

There’s room for me.

There’s room for you.

There’s room for all of us!

Full transparency post: I believe in always being transparent with everyone, and for that reason, you might have noticed that I’ve been a little bit MIA this past week….well for the last 2 weeks now, my family has dealt with a lot of sickness. What started off as my little girl getting extremely sick with the flu, turned into myself getting sick with the flu as well. I don’t think I’ve ever been as sick as I’ve been these last several days, and I’m not used to literally being confined to my bed, but that is where I have been for what seems like forever. I ask that you show me a little grace, as I get back to being in the full swing of things. I’m still not back to normal but I’m definitely better than I was. I’m so used to literally never stopping, but life had other plans. I’m back in office today, working and returning messages. I just ask that you please bare with me, and understand.
