Another sad few days at Oscar's Park . It did not come unexpected, but that does not lessen the hurt. Especially for Reata. Our second beautiful white barbie horse passed away yesterday. He was never the same since his brother died on thanksgiving day. He
never joined his other pasture mates. He walked very slow even for grain. Never raising his head in his old usual manner. As one old rancher told us when they're bonded since birth, which for these two was 28 years! At times they will lose their will to live when they lose their friend. Unfortunately, it was obvious that's what happened to our Charlie boy. He still appreciated and enjoyed all the love from the girls, but it wasn't enough. Thank you for the 4 years you gave us and to all the love you gave to the little girls at over a hundred weddings! It was always so fun to go out the morning after weddings and see what colorful things had been put in their mains! They would stand at the fences for hours. Letting anyone put whatever they wanted in their mains as long as they were loving on them.
Run free boys in the flower pastures of heaven...

Are you planning a December wedding next year? Have you ever thought of getting married in your own private historic Christmas village?
This would be ideal for smaller weddings, as even though there is a 3000 covered deck the heated inside area is ideal for probably less than 100 people
BUT folks in the past have tarped off and heated that whole deck for larger parties!
There are only the few December weekends available for this. Reach out now to make your reservation.

What a wonderful finale!
Thank you to the MT Veteran's Meat Locker for getting the word out to all of our veterans. With our
Veterans and their families alone we had 150 people here last night plus multiple other families that heard about us on facebook or through our schools. Made such a fantastic last evening for the Christmas lights at Oscar's Park . And we went through three batches of hot cocoa!!

Specifically, even starting right now... Any snow removal people?? I know seems like silly question when it's 40° out. But I would like to get arranged with someone. Please spread the word and have them get a hold of me right away.
Also any painters or sign people that love heights? We have two wonderful tall things we need to figure out how to light up! Tall as in over 64 feet! Plus I need a sign painted/ made right now!

I'm really hopeful the Oscar's Park community here can pull together and make some wonderful things happen.

Parents and children fill horse drawn wagons for a tour of Christmas lights at Oscar's Park. The evening rides by Elk River Adventures take place Dec. 15, 20, 21, 22, 23, 27, 28 and 29 from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Walk through tours are also available.
