A new class has entered the halls. ⚔️🖤

We are beyond excited to announce that will be joining us at The Academy this October to offer immersive movement and sword-inspired classes for our students.

WeaponUp brings strength, grace, confidence, and main-character energy into every movement and we cannot wait to welcome them to Billings for this experience.

A huge thank you to Visit Billings for helping make this possible and for supporting creative events that bring people to our community. We are so grateful.

A new elective has been added to the Academy course catalog. 🕯️

Please welcome Leafology: To***co and Ci**rs, led by Professors Nicotimus Nightshade, Cinder Ashworth, and Belladonna Broadleaf The Cigar Lane .

Created for students interested in the craftsmanship and culture surrounding ci**rs, this guided experience will explore the journey from leaf to light.

Whether this is your first cigar or you are already familiar with the practice, the professors will guide you through the experience from beginning to end.

Leafology is a premium 21+ elective with limited enrollment and requires an additional add-on starting at $25, separate from general Academy admission.

Enrollment will be first come, first served when course registration opens.

Please welcome Professor Arica Lipp to The Academy. 🕯️

If you have attended one of our past Beyond the Chronicles events, there is a very good chance you already recognize this professor. Arica has helped bring movement and elegance to our events before and we are excited to work with her again this year!

We are so grateful to have her and Billings Ballroom Dance Studio coming back again this year to teach Ballroom Enchantments.

This class is a little different from the others. There will only be four ballroom classes offered, and each one will focus on a different style of dance:

🖤 Beginner Partner Dance
🖤 Experienced Partner Dance
🖤 Beginner Group Dance
🖤 Experienced Group Dance

And no, you do not need to bring a partner. If you enroll in a partner class, you will be paired with another student, so don’t let that stop you from stepping onto the floor.

After an incredible weekend at Strawberry Festival, The Academy enrollment is growing, and we are so grateful to everyone who stopped by and claimed their place in the halls.

If you’ve been waiting, this is your sign.

The Academy takes place October 30–November 1, 2026 at the Billings Hotel & Convention Center and includes faction sorting, immersive classes, professors, trivia, vendors, special guests, and The Academy Ball.

Choose Friday, the weekend, or the full three-day experience.

Every Academy needs a Headmaster.

Meet Headmaster Silas Greenbriar, Veilkeeper and heir to one of the oldest magical families. Raised among ancient texts and rewritten histories, Silas knows better than most that knowledge is never harmless.

We are thrilled to welcome to The Academy as our Headmaster, bringing Silas Greenbriar to life throughout the event.

As Headmaster he will be watching over the Academy, checking in with professors, and keeping students away from the doors they are not meant to open.

The rules are simple. Behave accordingly.
