The Depot at Union City

The Depot at Union City Gatherin' together just like in the Good Ol' Days In the early 1900's, Union City was much more than just this one building and a few houses, as it is today.

In the fall of 2022, God put it on our hearts to buy this beautiful old property and turn it into a place where folks could once again gather just like in the good ol' days. During the Civil War, the Union Army camped at this area (which is only about 10 miles south of Wilson Creek National Battlefield). There was a blacksmith shop, hotel, school, doctor and more. Reportedly, this historic buildin

g was originally built to be a train station, but when they decided to move the railway, it became a general store and post office. Over the past century, it has served as everything from a feed store to a motorcycle shop, a gun store and a church fellowship hall. Other than a few memories passed down through the generations, Union City has all but been lost to time. Our prayer is that we can once again offer a place for people to come and gather to celebrate life events and special occasions. We also will offer various ministry opportunities for the spread of the gospel and celebration of our Lord, Jesus Christ. He is the only reason any of this is possible and we are blessed to serve Him through the revitalization of this historic property.

For most of us, the thought of denying ourselves through even simple sacrifices can seem almost impossible on most days! But, for those of you who denied yourself in such a way that you were willing to give up your very life to serve this country, we say thank you!

The enemy does NOT want you to make it to this today at 6pm. In fact, he's already planting devices and schemes to work against you getting there. He's bringing to mine all that you have to do, how much you need rest and all of the things that are more important this evening than attending this service. But, the reason he's working so hard to keep you away is because he knows how significant message like this can be in your faith and encouraging you to believe for greater and bigger things from our Heavenly Father!
