The Friends of the Southwest Virginia Museum will host their annual Spring Plant Sale this Saturday, May 3 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. The Plant Sale will offer a variety of indoor and outdoor plants and flowers for purchase, and all proceeds will benefit the Friends of the Southwest Virginia Museum Historical State Park.

Anyone interested in donating plants or flowers for the sale can bring them to the Southwest Virginia Museum Historical State Park between the hours of 8:30am and 4pm this Friday, May 2.

The Friends of the Southwest Virginia Museum is a 501(c)3 organization. Donations are tax deductible.

The 62nd Annual Trail of the Lonesome Pine opens two months from today! The show will run every Thursday, Friday and Saturday through August 9th. The show begins at 7:30 PM, with gates opening at 6:30. Tickets are available now on Eventbrite. Make plans to visit us this Summer in the Gap.

WE ARE SO EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE AUDITIONS FOR THE 2025 TRAIL OF THE LONESOME PINE OUTDOOR DRAMA.

Do you want to be part of an iconic legacy that is well over six decades old? Join us for auditions this season. There are two opportunities.

Thursday, February 27th at The Big Stone Gap Visitor Center or Monday, March 3rd at the Wesley Foundation Center across from UVA Wise. YOU ONLY NEED TO COME TO ONE AUDITION. Both auditions begin promptly at 6PM.

You will not need to prepare a monologue, however please have a brief song prepared. Using old Trail songs is encouraged! If you are auditioning for a role that requires dancing, there will be a brief dancing tutorial and audition as well. We are so excited to see you there!

Musicians and dancers welcome to audition as well! Open to all ages!
