Summer music lessons are already rolling, kind of like this young student is with the song he’s practicing here! 👀 🎶 San Francisco Trolley from his lesson book. - he even gets the ritardando and the quiet ending note at the very end! Nice job taking the time to get musical with a song! 😃 He practices regularly at home and he’s honing in on that concentration, during lesson time. 👏 Nice 👍

In early November Northern Light Studio hosted its 3rd annual Fall recital, right at home in the studio, with a turnout nothing less of wonderful & warm for the students and the families involved. This post is a month after, but I thought, maybe it’s better- reflecting on the end of the 2024. I’m so grateful for all the support that has been given to me via Kind and wonderful parents, their amazing children- my students- developing and confident, unique musicians/artists. This studio wouldn’t be existent without all of these thoughtful people— all of this Community! Nothing inspires me more than the vibrant spirits and tenacity of my students, young and older, to show up and learn and believe in themselves. Have a happy new year 🎆 everyone— and I can’t wait to see you back in the studio, starting on Monday, January 6! What amazing things will we learn and create in 2025!? 🥳

I am currently looking to take on more students here at Northern Light Studio. 😊 I have such a passion for Music/Art and truly enjoy working with the students, your kids and teens, and all you wonderful adults of all ages! — Musical Instruction for— Piano, Vocal, Guitar, and songwriting. Recital and performance opportunities are offered as well! — I have been teaching Private Music lessons One on One for 8 years, and I absolutely love getting to help students grow musically. — I really focus on each individual student and what would help them the best with their personal learning style. It’s a music teacher’s delight to get quite young students that come into lesson ready to work with enthusiasm and focus! This newer student also loved the idea of having a little performance recorded with the camera- and he went for it with vigor! 👏 Nice work!!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! — this video was sent in of two students, sisters Emma and Eloise, of Northern Light Studio. Their first time working on dueting together to Taylor Swift’s rendition of “Last Christmas.”
- They had both been working on this song seperately and it was such a sweet surprise to see them taking it on together. This feels like the beginning of a great musical duo. 🥰🎄Great job you two!!

I wrote a chord progression— and new voice student Keira instantly started singing over it and even wrote the lyrics! By me singing with her I helped her to make sure she sings on the beat with the piano. She is so creative! - and How cute is this!? How will this sound when we finish?! 😃
