The Beulah Social Club has made the difficult decision to disband. Our purpose seems to have run its course. When we started this non profit there was nothing going on in Beulah. It was right out of COVID, we had no restaurant, people did not know each other and there was nowhere to go and socialize. Now the town is hopping with things to do. The attendance to our events has dropped as well as the people to help.
We have reached out to the other nonprofits to see if any of them are wanting or willing to pick up some of the events we had going. The Beulah Colorado News and Events Page is probably the best place to go and find out what's happening.
I do also want to put out to the community that if you like the things Beulah does and want to see them continue, join a board and/or help when you can. Some of the boards are aging and also dwindling in numbers, it makes it difficult for them to do some of the things they are wanting to do for the community, for you. Others are simply burning out as it seems to always be the same people that help with all the events. Keep it in mind if you are available to help, we always used to say, "many hands make light work", once the work is done then everyone can enjoy the event. Without the help, I am afraid these events will have to go away.
I also want to express our extreme gratitude for the support that the community has shown us over the last three years, it was a fun run. I believe a lot of connections and memories were made, we did our job!
