May 7th I was hired to create an atmosphere.

Award show after party gala at Columbus College of Art & Design for Thurber House

The vibe

Disco, Funk, and feel good celebratory tunes for a 40 and up crowd.

This wasn’t a dancefloor setup it was about keeping the vibes high so guests could mingle, talk, network and move through the space while the music added warmth and energy without overpowering the night.

Highlights:
1. I got complimented on my volume control. Louder does not mean better
Understanding how to balance a rooms volume is so important (less bodies in a room less volume - more bodies higher volume) people absorb sound.

2. Did very well finding music that connected different backgrounds and generations while keeping the room unified and alive

Mid-set, a guest walked up smiling and said, “You’re playing Michael Jackson… thank you.”

That moment still sits with me months later.

And the food..
I’ve done many corporate gigs I have to say this spread was one of my favorites .. still thinking about those hot pepper cherries and the Swiss cheese I added to my burgers.. chefs kiss

I saw some familiar faces that night that were very excited and proud to see me DJing. Very telling for my time thus far in Columbus

Last night I was hired to create an atmosphere.

Award show after party gala at Columbus College of Art & Design — disco, funk, and timeless classics for a 35+ crowd.

This wasn’t a dancefloor setup — it was about shaping the room. Keeping the volume balanced so guests could mingle, talk, and move through the space while the music added warmth and energy without overpowering the night.

Incredible food, great energy, and even some familiar faces in the room that made the night feel even more personal.

Mid-set, a guest walked up smiling and said, “You’re playing Michael Jackson… thank you.”
That moment said it all.

Even got complimented on sound control — finding that sweet spot where the room can breathe and the atmosphere still feels alive.

Grateful for nights like this.

My first time at the Kentucky Derby was bad ass and I’d do it all over again.
This weekend I was invited to experience the Derby in an elevated way and I can say i absolutely loved every moment. Not only did I get to be with my college bestie, I met some dope individuals, unfortunately I was to scary to say what up to and as they were staying at the same hotel. “So I awkwardly said “thanks for being apart of my childhood” nodded hitting my chest and scurrying away.. N*Sync was literally who I pretended to be singing to stuffed animals with a broom stick in my bedroom.

Revel at the races Tiesto Party was dope I didn’t see my boy Kelce but that’s ight
The Sports Illustrated Club at the Derby was so dope! All you can eat food drinks and the views was immaculate. Video recap coming soon but for now here’s some photos worth viewing ❤️🐎

I really love mascots they make me so giddy my inner child peaks everytime 🥹
