Just a reminder to everyone that our Bethlehem Trading Post showroom is open this summer in beautiful Bethlehem, New Hampshire.

If you’ve ever wanted to see our clothing and accessories in person, try garments on, compare fabrics and colors, or avoid shipping costs, you’re always welcome to stop by.

We carry a wide selection of 17th and 18th century historical clothing, hats, shoes, stockings, fabrics, and accessories for reenacting, living history, theater, and historical interpretation.

The showroom is located in the beautiful White Mountains of New Hampshire, so it also makes for a nice stop if you’re visiting the area during the summer or fall.

Inspired by the simpler civilian garments of the mid-18th century, these coats were developed around the practical clothing worn by tradesmen, woodsmen, provincial militia, and working civilians.

With restrained tailoring, narrow sleeves, long front button lines, and functional working pockets, these coats are especially well suited for:

• Provincial militia portrayals
• Civilian and working-class impressions

Produced using 100% wool fabric with covered buttons and period-inspired construction details, these have become one of our most versatile mid-18th century garments.

As many of you might remember, our linen shirts were one of the items that helped establish Bethlehem Trading Post over 20 years ago.

Built from medium-weight linen with full body panels, narrow cuffs, shoulder straps, and neck gussets, these shirts follow the construction details seen in surviving 18th-century examples while remaining practical for long days in the field.

After years of supplying reenactors, historic sites, and living history interpreters across the country, we are continuing that tradition with shirts made here in New Hampshire alongside local seamstresses.

Available again in the English cut:
• Full period body
• Narrow 1" cuffs
• Shoulder reinforcement and neck gussets
• 4.5" folding collar
• Medium-weight linen suited for repeated wear

For many reenactors, a proper shirt is the foundation of the entire impression.
