Planning a wedding comes with a lot of decisions—and sometimes that means changing your mind about a vendor you spoke with. That’s completely okay!
But here’s a little behind-the-scenes truth many couples don’t realize: wedding vendors—officiants, photographers, DJs, planners, florists—are small business owners. When we hold a date for you, we may turn away other couples who are hoping to book that same day.
If you decide not to move forward, the most professional and respectful thing you can do is simply send a quick message:
"Thank you so much for your time, but we’ve decided to go in another direction."
That one small note allows us to open the date back up for another couple who may be searching for their perfect vendor.
No awkwardness. No pressure. Just kindness and good communication.
