We've heard from several new neighbors that the coming storm has complicated their childcare arrangements. Given that challenge, and potential limitations on keeping windows and doors open due to driving rain, we've decided to postpone our Newcomers Welcome celebration until late October. The drinks & dessert set-up will remain unchanged. We hope to see you then!

75th Anniversary Update!

THE GOOD NEWS

We're more than half way to our goal of $7,500 to cover the spacious and dry tent for Bannockburn's 75th Anniversary celebration on September 24th & 25th! Thanks to the 36 families who have given generously so far to get us over the halfway mark.

THE BAD NEWS

We still need $3,275 to cover the cost of the tent!

We KNOW that more than the 36 families who've given so far plan to attend the Anniversary celebration. Are you one? Can you give? Every donation counts and gets us toward our goal!

This is *our* celebration for *our* community and no one else is going to swoop in and pay for it. It's up to all of us to contribute our share, and we can count our lucky stars that our wise and dedicated Anniversary Committee had the foresight to reserve a tent months ago, before the delta variant started circulating and everyone decided to move their fall events outdoors again.

Imagine the clubhouse parking lot like this...

Buffalo’s first, code approved grass parking lot at Five Points Bakery is one year old today.
It can absorb 3” of rainfall keeping water out of our storm sewers.
It reduces heat island effect, provides habitat for insects, helps mitigate global warming by converting carbon dioxide into oxygen, looks nicer for our neighbors, helps to filter the water to keep our oceans cleaner. its cheaper than concrete, stronger than asphalt, and so much more.
We are so happy and thankful to be able to keep pioneering in Buffalo.

We're disappointed to share that the Holiday Market scheduled to take place tomorrow, Friday 12/4, at the Clubhouse has been *cancelled* due to new Montgomery County restrictions limiting the size of outdoor gatherings. We thank all who invested time and energy planning what would have been a lovely event. We hope you'll find ways to support local artists and businesses throughout this holiday season!

A blood drive to support children in the community fighting cancer will be held at the Bannockburn Community Clubhouse on November 18th and 19th. As of this post, three blood donation slots remain. Please review the eligibility information in the links below and register for a remaining spot if you are eligible.
