It is with immense sadness that we announce that the last day that The Outta Space will be open will be December 31st. This decision was not made lightly and we wish that things were different. Since we took over as new owners two years ago to carry on and enhance the vision created by Aaron Mitchell, we’ve poured blood, sweat, tears, and a lot of personal finances into the business. Unfortunately, it was not enough to stay afloat.
We can’t thank our amazing staff enough for all of their dedication, great ideas, hard work, for going above and beyond, and for providing Outta’s guests with quality experiences. You’re all incredible and we consider you family.
Our commitment to providing an eclectic, creative, diverse, welcoming and safe space for all resulted in the privilege of connecting with, and in some instances, developing friendships with, some of the best people we’ve ever had in our lives.
And oh, the talent that has graced our walls and our stage! Absolutely incredible visual artists, musicians, singers, songwriters, dancers, and puppeteers. We wish you all continued success in following your creative dreams.
For those of you who have visited us and supported us in a multitude of ways over the past two years, heartfelt thanks just doesn’t seem like enough. Sharing good times, laughter, and hugs with you has been priceless. We hope, in turn, that we have provided you with lasting memories that warm your heart and put a smile on your face when you think about them.
You’ve all been part of a pretty amazing community and we couldn’t have done this without you.
We hope that you’ll consider visiting us before the end of the month so that we can thank you in person for your contributions to making The Outta Space one of the best and coolest places around.
Love to you all,
Debra and John
