🌟 Working with April Seroda was an absolute joy! Her kind words about her custom gown experience mean the world to us. Here's what she had to say:
'The best decision I ever made was having Clarabel make my wedding dress. After going to so many stores where the dresses were heavy, looked cheap or trashy, were insanely expensive or just didn't come close to anything I was looking for, I was in panic mode. I also didn't want to order a dress a year before my wedding when I was in the process of losing weight. One day I was at a nail salon and a chatty, kind woman next to me and I got to talking. I told her about my dress struggle and she mentioned a woman near Englewood who makes dresses. When I got home, I scoured the internet and found Clarabel. THANK GOD. I had a vision -- I created a PowerPoint with parts of dresses I liked and we worked together to make something that was comfortable and gorgeous. As the process progressed, some of the things I thought I liked, I didn't. I LOVED that I was able to change direction and make modifications in real time. I went from a short to long style, hard shoulders to softer ones, literally anything I wanted to change or adjust, we did in partnership and I ended with something perfect for me. If you have any hesitations, don't. She is the real deal. She also reworked my Aunt's dress that she got during Covid and made modifications to make it perfect and did all the alterations for my sister and flower girl. I loved the intimacy of working with someone one-on-one, not being on display in a huge wedding factory store, and having a personal relationship with my dress maker. I can't thank her enough. Don't hesitate... run, don't walk.'
