A Work of Heart Counseling & Wellness truly understands the realities of motherhood, shows up for moms in meaningful ways, and helps strengthen the village by connecting, supporting, and uplifting families throughout our community. Founded by Kara Kushnir, A Work of Heart Counseling & Wellness supports moms, children, families, and individuals through life’s biggest transitions and challenges. From pregnancy and postpartum support to anxiety, parenting stress, child and adolescent therapy, trauma, groups, workshops, and more, their team provides compassionate care with a genuinely down-to-earth approach.🤍

This is the kind of resource we are always so grateful to share with our Mama Meet Ups community. Because motherhood was never meant to be done alone, and knowing where to turn for support can make all the difference.

This month, we’re excited to shine a spotlight on the GoodNight Nurse, Brittany Hefetz , as our June Community Partner Feature! 🌙 Through her expertise and compassionate approach, helps families find the support they need for more restful nights and happier days. 😴

Brittany is a certified pediatric sleep consultant, nurse practitioner, and mom of two who helps families achieve more restful sleep, greater confidence, and calmer nights through personalized support grounded in science, compassion, and the realities of everyday motherhood. 💤

☀️ Donations are officially being accepted for our 6th Annual Mama Meet Ups Clothing Swap and we have some exciting updates! ☀️

We’ve extended donation drop offs through June 6th and have added a FOURTH donation drop off location in Ridgewood thanks to our friends at ! 🎉

We are currently accepting:

👕 Baby & children’s clothing, sizes 3M–5T
🤱 Maternity & nursing clothing
🍼 Small baby gear
🧸 Baby & toddler toys
✨ Unopened diapers, wipes, feeding supplies, and other baby + postpartum essentials!

A huge thank you to every mama who has already donated! Your generosity helps these little items find a second life with another local family and is what makes this special community event possible. 💗

Our Mama & Me Little Zoo Explorers shared a morning meeting animals, learning about habitats, spotting mama and baby prairie dogs, planting seeds to take home, exploring and enjoying a train ride through the zoo! 🚂🌱🐢

How lucky are we to have the Bergen County Zoo right here for our littles to grow with? The zoo holds so many special childhood memories for me, which made this morning feel even more meaningful. Watching our children experience that same wonder, curiosity, and joy together was truly so beautiful. 🤍

Thank you to the for welcoming , offering educational programs for children and creating such a wonderful morning for our families. A special thank you to Giulia and Natalie for making the experience so engaging, educational, and fun! ❤️

Join and for a colorful morning of sensory play designed for little ones who love to explore, discover, and create. 🌈

Busy Bin Kids is one of our favorite sensory play partners, known for creating engaging, hands-on experiences that instantly draw children in. From scooping and pouring to sorting, mixing, and imaginative play, every station is thoughtfully designed to spark curiosity and encourage exploration at your child’s own pace. 💙

We’ll have a variety of immersive sensory stations to explore, coffee for mamas to enjoy, and plenty of opportunities to connect with other local moms while your little one plays. ☕️💕

And the fun doesn’t end when the event is over! Each child will take home their very own tinker tub so the sensory play can continue at home. 🧰✨
