And that’s what we like to bring to our films-the joy and the splendor, the real thing, no schmaltzy, over-dramatic music or rock star effects, just raw beauty and authentic fun. Couples get married in some interesting spots, but Anthony and Kristen got married on a roof! Ariel International Center is a 1923 historical building in what was once known as the Garment District in Cleveland. Here you can get married on a the top of a building overlooking Lake Erie and the Cleveland. The reception hall one floor down has large picture windows allowing the guests a view of the city and a gorgeous sunset over the lake. Travis and Carleigh's wedding had lots of sun, a perfect symbol for the joy of the day! Situated on 50 acres in Chardon, Basil Place was a gorgeous setting. Travis and his groomsmen got ready in the Manor while Carleigh and her bridesmaids were in the Carriage House. After their sweet first look next to the lake (with a fun visit by Hank, their dog), it was time to head to the outdoor patio where the couple became husband and wife with their friends and family cheering them on. At last, it was time to celebrate at the Basil Place Barn with a live band that kept the dance floor full and hopping all night.

Kyle & Kelleigh’s wedding day was steeped in the glory of fall in the heart of Hocking Hills, Ohio. Everyone got ready in the newly constructed Timberframe Lodge, which as the name suggests is a beautiful, rough-hewn yet modern chateau. Just outside the back doors and down the hill is a tree-skirted lake. Kyle and Kelleigh’s intimate ceremony was conducted on a peninsula jutting out into the lake. After they gave their hearts to one another, we joined Hunter Harrison of Hunter PhotographicHunter Photographic for our favorite part of the day, a sunset portrait and video session at a nearby farm. Finally, it was time to dance and celebrate in the night air. And what a beautiful night it was!

Nathan and Hanna’s wedding day was the perfect fall day. The sun was shining, giving just the right warmth, and the fall colors were beginning to let their glory show. Everyone got ready in the old farm house of Magnolia Spring Farm. When the time came, the party was ferried up the hill in golf carts to the outdoor ceremony situated in a field on the edge of a forest. There, amid family and friends, and a special solo, Hanna and Nathan wound three cords together symbolizing both of their loves and God’s love, followed by pledging their lives to each other. Later they celebrated with their guests just outside the barn where everyone ate, danced, enjoyed ice cream, and even limbo-ed the night away.

We had the privilege of starting out Nicha and Mario’s day at Alyssa’s home, Mario’s sister. We had the honor of capturing Alyssa’s wedding a little over a year ago. Here is where Nicha and her bridesmaids got ready. After a fun petal-tossing exit, the party was off to Holy Redeemer church where Nicha and Mario pledged their lives to each other in a beautiful ceremony. Afterwards we all headed to downtown Cleveland where, despite a surprising influx of thousands of people, we made it to 9th Street Pier and captured great photo and video shots along Lake Erie. It was now time for the party which began with a cocktail hour surrounded by marine life at the Greater Cleveland Aquarium. Upstairs the reception kicked off in the Bridgeview Room overlooking the Cuyahoga River. At sunset we had fun capturing Mario and Nicha as they strolled along the river bank. The highlight of the night had to be the traditional Tarantella dance that weaved its way around the reception room involving nearly everyone present. The entire room was packed with joyful hearts!

Luke and Lauren’s day began in Lauren’s hometown of Monroe, Michigan where we met her and her fun bridesmaids at Biundo’s Salon. From there we headed to her childhood home. After she got into her lovely dress, helped by her mom, she had a sweet first look with her dad. His first word after walking into the room was simply, “Beautiful.” The ceremony soon followed at Holy Redeemer in Monroe where Luke tearfully saw Lauren in her dress for the first time coming down the aisle. After they pledged their lives to one another, we stopped at the Toledo Botanical Gardens for some great photo and video shots. It was a little toasty out there! Finally, the party started at the elegant Toledo Renaissance where the dance floor was hopping! It was a blast to get a group photo and video of all the John Carroll University alumni too. Lauren and Luke met as tour guides there. We can’t end without mentioned the cookie table with 2000 cookies!
