Under new management! Our newest boss has been working us pretty hard round the clock, but we’re all pretty fond of him! Thanks for being patient as we’ve taken time to rest, heal, & bond as a new family of 5.

The first flush of sunflowers are waking up. Keep your eyes open for the first bouquets of the summer! 🌻🌞

Did you know most flowers in stores travel 4,000+ miles before reaching your vase? Skip the jet-lagged blooms and support local flower farms instead. Fresher stems, fewer chemicals, and you're helping neighbors grow a business that blooms. Your purchase matters! 🌱

We (and by we I mean mostly my husband Mitch 💪) wrapped up the infrastructure of our cut flower micro farm this past weekend! I started seeds back in March and was able to get hundreds into the soil over a couple of days. All of the flowers & fillers that I direct sow will be in place by the weekend. Now we water & wait! I can’t wait until I can post pictures of everything all grown in & blooming. And I’m even more excited to spend my mornings cutting fresh bouquets for our community. 💐🌻

Now, tell me your favorite flower in the comments!

Here’s what we’ve been up to now that spring is here to stay!

-Tilling a huge sunflower patch! 🌻
-Building raised beds for focal flowers & fillers. 💐🌾
-Keeping our littlest farm hand happy outside with lots of bubbles in the shade. 🫧
-Taking care of little seedlings until they’re ready for the ground. We have hundreds! 🌱
-Enjoying the first roses of the season. 🌹

We still have lots of work to do & can’t wait to see this garden filled to the brim with beautiful blooms to share!

Woo hoo! Even on a micro farm scale, you’d be amazed how much soil is required for our operation. Friends of the farm Jordan & Mariah Qualls helped us out in a big way today! They let us load their truck twice today to get all of our soil, compost, & mulch to our house. So thankful for good friends! Almost planting time!

Why don’t I offer Valentine’s Day flowers?

I’ve had a few inquiries about Valentine’s Day flowers 💌 and as much as I wish I could put together some beautiful arrangements for your loved ones, it simply is not in my business structure. Let me explain why!

🩷 My business model is to provide home grown flowers. To have flowers for Valentine’s Day I’d have to outsource & have them shipped, which means they wouldn’t be grown in Arkansas soil, & likely not even from our country.

🩷 It’s too cold for anything to bloom currently! My specialty is summer annuals & our last frost isn’t until April.

🩷 I’ve felt called to live with the seasons, rather than work against them. Mother Earth rests in winter, wakes up in spring, & blooms in summer. How beautiful is it to live in a state that experiences the full spectrum of seasons?

🩷 As nature is still hibernating, I’m using this time to go within, to rest, to spend time with my family. But rest assured, I’m also spending great energy coming up with new garden plans!

Maybe someday I’ll catch a wild hair & dip my toes into full service floristry. But for right now I’m loving the phase I’m in 💐

Happy 2025! While we prepare our home for the first snow & ice forecast of the year, I can’t help but daydream about warmer days ahead 🌞

We have big ideas about the 2025 growing season! I’d love to continue to sell flowers from our farmstand, but I’d like to introduce some new things as well.

We’re considering an occasional You-Pick setup, where we invite you into our garden to select & cut your own flowers to take home.

I’m also researching the logistics of a CSA flower subscription. CSA, community supported agriculture, connects you, the community, with me, the producer. For a flat price at the beginning of the season you can get a weekly flower arrangement filled with whatever is blooming that week.

Another idea we’ve had is a gift certificate program! You can buy a bouquet coupon to give to a loved one, & they can come by the farmstand to pick their bouquet & put the coupon in the cash box.

Overall, we hope that 2025 is filled with flowers & connection with our local community.

Do you have anything you’d like to see from us this year? Leave some feedback in the comments!
