One of the most overlooked tasks for your wedding is to provide a custom floor plan for your event!
Choose Your Method:
Use Digital Tools – If your venue has access to an event layout tool, it’s a great way to create professional floor plans. This ensures accuracy and easy adjustments.
Coordinate with your Venue – If the venue has standard layouts, requesting a base diagram can save time and ensure alignment with their space restrictions.
Hand-Drawn Diagrams – These are totally acceptable, as long as they include table types, guest count per table, buffet or food stations, and any other major layout elements. Be sure the diagram is clear and labeled on 8.5x11 paper.
Communicate Early – Once the floor plan is finalized, send it to your Catering Coordinator to ensure smooth service flow. You may also want to include your event planner or other key vendors.
Tablescape Considerations – If centerpieces or decor impact space (e.g., large floral arrangements, charger plates, or special setups), factor that into the layout to avoid surprises on event day.
