To my community,
I want to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to all of you that continue to come out to our events, to those sharing our events, but to those who dedicate their time and effort into this organization.
Our rebranding, restructuring, or refocus - however you'd like to classify our transition - has been to focus on the youth of our community. Investing in our youth, events, and learning opportunities to grow skills, and giving our youth a safe place to come together has been extremely important to all of us.
The growth and improvement of our facility is a slow process as we rely on volunteers and donations. I am personally thankful and feel truly blessed to be part of this community. When we have a need, you come through, time and again.
As we approach our Grand Reopening Event, I find myself reflecting on how far we've come along in just six months. Our increased youth events and clinics have reminded me of why I continue to volunteer. In addition, our Cookshack Youth Partnership program is something I have been extremely passionate about. This weekend, we had our first partnership with a Scouting of America troop from Richland, WA. The feedback from our volunteers blew me away. Just to hear about the interactions and experiences shared with these boys warmed my soul.
We have a variety of events scheduled for the remainder of the year. I encourage you all to come down to the arena to see what we are doing. You may find that you want to take an active role in giving back to the community. Or you may find that place you feel at home at and join us for a burger and fries. Either way, you will always be welcome.
None of this would be possible without my partners and everything they give to the arena and the community.
Please help me extend a heart felt thank you to:
